2021 was a very busy year for the USP Fellowship Training Council with three Interesting Case Report Series presentations and three Scientific Meetings organized and successfully convened from June 2021
The Ultrasound Society of the Philippines Fellowship Training Council conducted the Third Interesting Case Report Series for 2021 last June 9, 2021 on the topics: GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT AND EARLY PREGNANCY PATHOLOGY
The moderator for this session is Dr. Celeste Baldonado FPCR, FUSP, Radiologist / OB-Gyn from Ospital ng Makati.
Dr. Pedro Danilo Lagamayo, USP President delivered the Opening Remarks as the program started.
The first two presentations on GI pathologies were given by the Ultrasound Fellows-in training from Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center while the last two case reports on Early Pregnancy pathologies were discussed by the Ultrasound Fellows-in training from Ospital ng Makati
The First Interesting Case entitled QUADRUPLE WHAMMY! was presented by Dr. Tito M. Vinluan Jr., Ultrasound Fellow, Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center where he discussed about Blunt Abdominal Trauma and the multidisciplinary approach to achieving diagnosis.
The Second Interesting Case entitled TWISTED FATE was presented by Dr. Rainier A. Agustines of the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center where he discussed on Malrotation and Volvulus and the imaging modalities for diagnosis.
The Third Interesting Case entitled ANAK SA LABAS was presented by Dr. Miguel Duval R. Esguerra of Ospital ng Makati where he elaborated on simultaneous Intrauterine Pregnancy with early Ectopic Gestation.
The Fourth Interesting Case entitled HAPLESS was presented by Dr. Ezekiel T. Arteta of Ospital ng Makati and discussed about Hydatidiform Mole
Participants looked forward to the stimulating Menti Quiz with the following winners: Paul Nicolas Tan, Rodelle Abaleta and Allister Louis Uy
Ms. Haydee Cayanan-Lazaro represented event sponsor, Siemens Healthineers as they expressed their continued support to USP.
Dr. Trisha Lapus, USP FTC Chairman conveyed her thanks to the presenters, the committee, the participants and the sponsor for the fruitful event and invited everyone to continue to join the future continuing education activities of the USP.

The program moderator was Ruben S. Berango MD, FPCR, FUSP from Surigao City
Welcome Remarks was delivered by Dr. Pedro Danilo J. Lagamayo, USP President.
The speaker for this session is Dr. Celeste B. Baldonado, FPCR, FUSP, FCTMRISP from Ospital ng Makati.
She spoke on two topics oon Obstetric Ultrasound: first, NOT JUST THE BABY: on Placenta, Umbilical Cord and Amniotic Fluid and second, MULTIPLE GESTATION IN THE FIRST TRIMESTER: WHAT THE CLINICIAN NEEDS TO KNOW
The participants had a great learning experience with practical knowledge which may be utilized for our daily practice.
The enjoyable but challenging Menti Quiz was conducted with three winners: Althea Celis, Kevin Eric Santos and Kris Bautista
The scientific meeting was sponsored by NPK Medical Trading Inc.
Dr. Trisha Lapus, USP-FTC Chairman thanked everyone for the strong participation, sharing the past activities of the USP-Fellowship Training Council and to look forward to the upcoming activities especially the Joint Annual Convention of the CTMRISP and the USP this October 2021.
